DIY-Crush Link Party, Week 43

In case you’re wondering what’s going on with all the DIY link parties and none of my usual posts, I’m afraid you must continue to wonder. Co-hosting the weekly link up is not the only pot on my stove, iron in my fire, potato on my plate, etc. I’ve got a crater full of projects and no time to write about any of them yet. For now, enjoy the other blog posts that we’re linking to.

And come on back here to tell me about your new discoveries. There’s just so much to read out there in the creative blogosphere.

See you in a few days, I hope.

It’s Thursday Again and the Party is On!

It was a tough job to pick favourites from last week’s submissions. Did you pick your own favourite? Tell me in the comments which ones you would have chosen if you had the hosts’ job. Here they are again: Week 42.

I loved a whole bunch of them but I had to pick one. Why just one??? I went for this gift-card wallet from Sewing with Kids because anyone can make it. And although it says it’s a project for Father’s Day, I think it’s a project for any day you have a gift to give. Sewing Project for Kids - gift card wallet

Denise’s favorite post from last week is this recipe to make a Bahama Mama cobbler. This one is from The Salt Water Blog. The post doesn’t have any more pictures, but as Denise says, … “the recipe itself speaks louder and bolder than any pictures! So yum!”

Domenica also went with a fave that’s kid friendly — this tutorial for making a crayon roll from Sew Happily Ever After. She posts adorable things for kids to learn!

Now that you know which ones we picked, do you agree or disagree?

It’s good to keep secrets — most of the time. This is one of those times when you really should be a blabbermouth and tell everyone and their grandma’s custom kitchen sink about the party. Come back next week for a “heapin’ helpin’ of our hospitality.”

We are always looking for a guest hosts to help us cook up some recipes for living. Next up is Party #44, starting on Thursday, August 4. So if you are interested, please leave a comment with your link to your blog and I’ll contact you with details.

This Week’s Link Collection

///By linking up you are giving us permission to visit your blog, pin/share images from linked up post and link back to you///

What is a link party?

It’s like a weekly roundup of helpful posts. Link parties like this one are a place for bloggers to share links to their posts that fit the theme. And readers who are searching for information on that theme will be able to find several resources in one place.

DIY Crush opens a new “link-up” every Thursday evening and bloggers are invited to submit their posts. Incorrigible DIYers of all sorts can find new inspiration and tutorials for their next project by checking out the posts and articles.

How does this work?

For blog readers and inspiration seekers, all you have to do is check the listings above, or go to DIY Crush each week to see what’s been added. You can also visit the Pinterest Board where we save all the links. And then off you go to replicate what you see!

For Bloggers:

1. Please grab this image and install it somewhere on your site.* Link to www.diy-crush.com:

(or, if you’re not sure how to do that,
you can link to DIY Crush with a text link)

* This is a requirement, not an option. One of us will check.

2. Grab the link to your DIY post and head down to the bottom of this post to submit your link.

Posts that are invited to the party:

  • free craft tutorials & patterns
  • pattern reviews (can include links to the pattern for purchase)
  • decoration with small list of how you did it
  • recipes for foods that are also kids friendly (no alcoholic recipes please)
  • business/blogging tips
  • money tips for SAHM’s and WAHM’s

Posts that are not welcome to this party:

  • shops
  • giveaways
  • spam sites
  • products for sale
  • adult content

3. Spread the word, any way you like. We love party crushers!

4. If your site and post check out, we pin your link to this Pinterest board, which will bring you extra exposure!

5. Consider joining the party as a guest host. It’s not a lot of work, we promise.

6. The hosts and guest host each pick a favourite DIY to be featured the following week.
